Reliance Jio Introduces Jio Bharat Phone at INR 999 Alongside New Tariff Plan




Reliance Jio, a leading telecommunications company in India, has made a significant stride towards digital inclusion with the launch of the Jio Bharat V2 mobile phone. Priced at an astonishingly low rate of just Rs 999, the Jio Bharat V2 aims to make advanced mobile technology accessible to a wide segment of the population.

Unmatched Affordability and Generous Data Offerings

One of the key highlights of the Jio Bharat V2 is its affordability. With a price tag of Rs 999, this 4G-enabled mobile phone offers incredible value for money. Additionally, Reliance Jio provides a yearly plan for the Jio Bharat V2 at a mere Rs 123, which includes a whopping 123 GB of data for just Rs 14.

Jio Bharat V4 and the Jio Bharat Platform

Alongside the Jio Bharat V2, Reliance Jio has also unveiled the Jio Bharat V4, a 2G phone designed to cater to the needs of the existing 2G user base in India. The company has identified approximately 25 crore 2G users, currently associated with companies like Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, and aims to transition them to 4G through the Jio Bharat platform.

Impressive Features and Services

Weighing a mere 71 grams, the Jio Bharat V2 is proudly "Made in India" and operates on a 4G network. It offers features such as HD voice calling, FM radio, and support for a 128 GB SD memory card. The mobile phone boasts a 4.5 cm display and includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, loudspeaker, and torchlight. Additionally, Jio Bharat V2 users gain access to JioSaavn's library of 8 million songs and a subscription to Jio Cinema. The device also facilitates UPI transactions through Jio Pay and supports 22 Indian languages, allowing users to interact in their preferred language.

Reliance Jio's Commitment to a 2G-Free India

Reliance Jio, under the visionary leadership of Mukesh Ambani, has been actively advocating for a 2G-free India. The company's launch of the Jio Bharat platform serves as a catalyst in transitioning 2G users to 4G services. The platform is open for other companies to utilize in manufacturing their own 4G phones. Carbon has already embraced this opportunity.

Future Prospects and Beta Trials

Reliance Jio's JioPhone has already garnered over 13.2 million users since its launch in 2018, and the company envisions similar success with the Jio Bharat V7. Beta trials for the Jio Bharat V2 are scheduled to commence from July 2, as Reliance Jio sets its sights on making the Jio Bharat V6500 available in tehsils across the country.
